(01) The role
You'll be one of a small group of engineers who owns projects from first sketch to thousandth user. No project managers, no handoffs, no "engineering sprint" gated behind someone else's Figma.
Our typical engagement is three months to two years. You'll work closely with one or two designers and usually one other engineer on any given build. We pair, we ship, and we document as we go.
(02) What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction on one or two active engagements
- Write and review code across the stack — Next.js, TypeScript, Postgres, and whatever the problem needs
- Pair with designers and clients directly; no requirements-document games
- Keep the bar high in code review and technical planning
- Mentor the next senior hire and take part in interviews
(03) What you'll bring
Requirements
- Seven or more years of product engineering experience
- Deep comfort with TypeScript and at least one modern React framework in production
- Have shipped and maintained something you're proud of, with real users
- Can communicate in writing — decisions, trade-offs, post-mortems
- Opinionated about craft, patient with disagreement
Nice to have
- React Native, Swift, or Kotlin experience
- Infrastructure-as-code background (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Open source maintenance history

Compensation
Competitive salary benchmarked quarterly against senior bands at product-led companies. Profit sharing twice a year. Equipment budget, learning stipend, and six weeks of discretionary paid leave per year.
