For mobile MVPs, founder-led projects, and apps where the product-market-fit question matters more than the infrastructure, Firebase is often the fastest path to a shippable app. Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Remote Config together cover 80% of what most apps need on day one.
We're careful about Firebase for mature applications. The pricing model gets uncomfortable at scale, Firestore's query constraints catch teams off guard, and vendor lock-in is real. For products that have found product-market fit, we often migrate Firebase backends to Postgres + Node.
