(01) Our take
Supabase has become our default managed-Postgres provider. The developer experience — row-level security, auto-generated APIs, real-time subscriptions, and a genuinely good dashboard — is the best we've seen in this category.
We recommend Supabase most strongly for client teams who need to move fast without hiring a full-time database engineer. For teams that have more specialised needs (multi-region read replicas, very high write throughput), we'd reach for AWS RDS or Neon instead.
(02) What we build with it
Typical work
- Managed Postgres for web and mobile applications
- Auth-as-a-service for apps that don't want to build it
- Realtime subscription infrastructure
- Storage for user-uploaded files with RLS-based access control
(03) How we engage
Engagement shape
Paired with Next.js or mobile engagements. Supabase migrations off of Firebase are a specific engagement we take on regularly.
